Tow mirror install
hi guys. I have a 2015 platinum with all the options on it (cameras, blis, spotlights) except for the tow mirrors. I would really like to swap my mirrors out for the tow mirrors. I have found the part number on various parts web sites. I believe I have also found the part number for the control module that goes in the door so I can have the correct toggle for the power folding/telescoping. Has anyone successfully swapped mirrors on this forum? Assuming I have the correct wiring harness, everything should just be plug and play, correct? I generally know my way around cars, but don't want to get into anything very complicated. Thank for you helps guys!
If the lower left button(around the 4 way switch) has a small light in it you do not need anything but mirrors. Seems like upper level trucks have correct switch. Tow mirrors are simple bolt on. My Lariat 502A had the correct switch and conversion was easy and everything works fine.
My switch does not have the small light for the toggle. I believe I have read some where that I don't need to change it out, that it will still work, but for my ocd, I would still like to change out the switch

Hey guys, great info on this post. I'm gonna order the parts liste above. can you tell me if the mirrors will have the Orange running lights on then as well as all the other options that my standard mirrors have ? I have 360* cameras, blind spot warning, spot lights as well as the down facing flood light. Thanks
im waiting on the dealer to get a set of tow mirrors to put on my 2015 i just got last week. They said it was plug and play but i have been wondering which button makes them telescope? Is that what you guys are discussing?
It is the same button that currently folds the mirrors in. On the trailer tow mirrors, the switch becomes a toggle, hints the light everyone is talking about. When you toggle it on, the directional pad folds the mirrors in and allows the mirrors to telescope in and out as well. I have heard also that you do not need to change out the switch, you just won't know when it is toggled on if you don't have the little light.
