Default Tow Mirror 8 to 22 Pin converter?

I finally pulled the trigger on Tow Mirrors for my 2017 XL STX. I've read the thread(s) and downloaded the document on upgrading to a 22 pin door harness. Since it is winter here in Chicago, I thought I might try and make a small 8pin to 22pin adapter just to get me through the winter while I collect all the harnesses, modules, and switches to fully enable the fold and extended features.

Has anyone made a harness that will just pass mirror adjust, heat, and signal from the 8pin to the 22pin connector?

Also, since we're talking is there anyone that has done the full harness & module mod on an XL that would be willing to chat with me for a for a few minutes?

Thanks!

There aren't any pigtails available for the 22 pin connectors, C521 & C622 to splice them in temporarily. I'm afraid there isn't any option but to get the harnesses and modules. See attached diagrams for reference if you need.

I went with the 22 pin harnesses in the doors so I could activate the puddle lamp but another site led me to these:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2018-F...RZ7ODz&vxp=mtr

It's a jumper harness as you speak of.

EDIT: I did this on an XLT and i wrote the code for puddle lamps in to my existing door modules so I did NOT need new door modules.

Perfect - Thanks! This will get me through the winter while I collect parts to make them fully operational.

Is there anyone that has gone the other way? I tore a 22 pin oem tow mirror off my truck. And looking to replace with a cheaper set of used 8 pin regular mirrors. I can find the adapter to go from 8 pin to 22 pin but not the other way?

I haven't seen a reverse adapter but are you going to be selling your tow mirrors? If so, mind DMing me the options of those mirrors and the price?

Stupid question, but do you need one harness per mirror? my guess is yes.
