If I'm in a major accident I wouldn't give a rats *** if the truck is totaled. I like to think walking away from the crash has greater merits. Not too long ago in my area a late model Ram was involved in a head on.Truck didn't look nearly as bad as the Ford ; appearance wise. Driver lost both legs, probably from the firewall cutting into him.

Clueless. It is all about energy absorption, who cares what the truck looks like after a crash, that's what insurance is for. Walking away is a hell of a lot more important.

Exclamation

that's a pretty low comment.

Stupid uninformed people should stick to driving 70s all steel cars. Good luck.
Exactly. The vehicle's job is to keep the occupants alive. And the more it crumples, the less force on the occupants. Think of Newtons second law..

That's absurd. You were not there and have no idea what the damage would be if it was a steel body truck. Additionally, vehicles are DESIGNED to crumple to protect the passengers. Go ahead and get a Ram. See where it gets you with payload, tow capacity and reliability.

Here is a good video regarding why crumple zones matter more than good old fashioned steel.

Glad there was so much damage that you did not have to worry about repairs. Glad you also got lucky with Geico!

Would not want to go through the buying process so quick if something happened to my truck. Hate vehicle salesmen. whether on foot or online.
You tellem what looking for online. Arrive they try to sell you some last years model. Told them 2018 fully equipped limited. They show a xlt closeout
2017. Went do you comprehend english, didn't care if that thing was 50% off. Went to another dealer.
