So I have my Bakflip VP and Bedrug installed. Love the Bedrug, and while there is nothing wrong with the Bakflip VP I'm wishing I had gone with the revolver instead, especially when loading up bicycles in the back, the full bed space would be nice while keeping visibility. Oh well, lesson learned.

I just installed the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 two days ago. Today I had the truck washed and saw no signs of leakage. I had ordered a Tonnopro hard fold but they were back ordered. They actually goofed up and shipped me a cover but it was the soft fold, not what I ordered.

Luke at Truck Alterations took good care of things and I am happy with the SF 2.0 so far. I think that some leakage issues can be related to installation but maybe I got a good one.

I expect to see some water near the tailgate as there are many points of entry around the perimeter and at the tailgate step opening. I am just glad to now have secure storage in my bed and it's pretty dry also.

2016 F150 S/CREW, 5.5ft bed.

- Will likely install a bedrug. This is a "soccer dad" / grocery getter truck.
- May haul mulch/gravel occasionally.
- Mostly will use the fully open bed for hauling bicycles.
- Live in a snowy area, where spring is snow, melt, rain, snow, melt, rain, repeat. So water resistance is a concern.
- Ideally, for WAF (wife acceptance factor) you can open and close the tailgate without opening the end of the cover. Being lite would be nice, again for WAF.

So far I'm considering:
- Extang Solidfold
- Bakflip VP (even with having to open it to close the tailgate), but is lite.
- Pace Edwards Switch Blade
- Bakflip Revolver.

Thanks for any thoughts.

That looks really nice. Is it able to fold up against the cab as well?

Access Roll up cover. Does not leak. Had one on my '01 Screw for 14 years. It never leaked and looked great when I traded that truck for this one. Around $500, but worth it.

I have the Leer Trilogy and it's very water tight. No water in at all. It just has to be aligned correctly before you clamp it down. No additional seals, caulking or anything needed!!

My 2012 F150's Extang Classic Platinum snap on cover was just as water tight but needed additional seal on the bulk head and corners to keep water out.

The 2010 F150's Extang Solid Fold only leaked moderatately but needed the same additional seals that the Classic Platinum snap on cover needed.
