Default Tires with stock rims on 2016 XLT Sport

I currently have stock 18" 7.5" rims with 265/60/28 tires on my truck but want bigger tires. This is just for looks and I drive a lot. I wanted to get everyone's thoughts. I'm deciding between putting 285/65/18 tires on stock rims with no lift or doing a 2.5" lift with stock rims on 295/60/18 tires. Since I drive a lot I'd like the ride to not be very rough but I don't car about MPG cause my company foots the bill for gas. Any thoughts??

If you do a search for lift/level and isolate it to the 2015-Present thread under advanced search, you'll see a bunch of threads who did just what you are saying you want to do, and more. A lot of options out there. Good looking options.

I'll admit, I haven't seen too many people keep their stock Sport 18's when they upgraded tires and lifted/leveled.

I kept my stock 18" wheels, added 2.5 Rough County level, and swapped my factory tires for BF Goodrich K02 275/70/18s and love them.

I did the same! The only difference is I went with Rancho QuickLIFTS and 9000XL rears.

Very nice truck!

I always find it amazing what a little lift and some slightly bigger tires can do as for the look of the truck.

(I think I'm gonna go take a ride to "use" the stock tire a little more so that I can have an excuse to change them... :-))

Thanks! I do have the 2.7 and absolutely love it - I just turned 10k and lifetime average is 18mpg according to the computer. Driving has been roughly 80 percent city, 15 hwy and 5 towing.

I average 17.5 to 18 city and 21 to 22hwy depending on speed, wind, etc.

I couldn't be happier with that especially coming from my previous Tundra that averaged 13mpg.

Yep. Hand calculated it's roughly 0.6 lower taking into account the difference in the larger tires. Still I'm very pleased!
