I've always been very pleased with our local DT. We use them for all our company and personal vehicles.
It's hardly worth even price shopping them, since they are typically very competitive and offer great service.

Does DTD actually have physical shop locations? None that I could find in New England. Their prices are so much cheaper than tire shops around here. But then you have to have them mounted and balanced and most shops around here charge $50/wheel to do that if you don't purchase the tires from them.

I found out the hard way that you can't take the wheels and tires over to a new vehicle and expect any warranty on them. Dumbest thing I heard. the tires are on rims, not a vehicle, why cant they be warranted as long as they are on the original rims? Same for the road hazards I had on them. Worthless now.

i purchased the road hazard warranty from them for my stock tires. was really surprised they would cover tires that weren't even purchased from them.

I've stopped doing Discount Tire warranty certificates. They are limited now to 3 years coverage. Also, for vehicles such as a front wheel drive or all wheel drive, when you get a tire replaced under warranty, you need a second one to keep tread depths the same side to side or it goes crazy with VSC and such. And when you need to buy that second tire, they offer you the same kind at an expensive price. It just sucks.

when you add up the cost of the certificates and having to buy a second tire, it's cheaper to get no certificates and just buy two tires when you have one blowout.
