Far as Nitto tires go they do poor in cold wet but are stylish for sure. The just added a line of Terra Grappler G3 that do seem much better. 3PMS rated (for what that is worth) with a better cold compound, more siping, and tread more designed for snow. These are new so reviews are few. KM

I'll personly never buy another set of Coopers or Nittos, but that's just my opinion. As long as Falken has the quality and ability that I have come to know, that's all I will go with.

I've been running the Nitto G2's for years and really like them. They've been good in rain and snow with about 130K miles on the current set with more life to go. It all depends on your drive and preferences.

what year did you buy them? I used to run them exclusively for almost a decade and when I bought a set in 2020 they handled completely different. When I return them to discount tire they even mentioned how many complaints they were getting on them.

I've ran them for a few years myself and always had good luck with them. I bought my latest set in 2019. Not sure if there were any changes after that, but I love them and hated that they stopped making them. A few months ago I went to Discount Tire to have a tire patched and when the guy checked all of my tire tread depths, he said "are these the same tires you bought here back in 2019? Your tires still have 40% tread left on them." I said "yep they are" and he said "that's probably why they stopped making these". I was around 110K at that point.

gotcha…I have no proof but I ran Terra Grappler G2 from 2008 until 2020 and loved them. The set I put on mid 2020 were hot garbage…I actually tried Ridge Grapplers, then LT Terra’s, then P Terra’s, until I gave up. Discount said they suspected they changed the compound or materials or something

I gave up on my G2's before the third winter and went to full winter tires Nokian's Hakkapeliitta LT2. The G2s were fine on dry pavement and summer rain. Possible big difference my truck is 2wd with a very responsive tuned 2.7. KM

I threw on some Recon Grapplers (the SL load rating, not E) in late 23/maybe early 24. Had no issues but I'm in Florida. Do well so far in wet, beach sand, woods, erc. I dont deal with all that crazy weather yall deal with though.
had a neighbor that had trouble with the ridge frapplers about the same time as you mentioned though.

My G2s were great on my 2013. The Ridge Grapplers suck in the rain. I know I’ve had this set since 2019, so the rubber has likely gotten hard and contributing to my wet traction.
