Tinted tail lights

Can they be seen in sunlight or are they a crash waiting to happen?

You can see them with park an brake lights in the daylight. Once i change the bulbs they'll be really good. I didnt do the third brake light yet just to be on the cautious side

Those look awesome but holy geez they are dark. I’ve had tinted tails but I’ve got kids now and I just can’t bring myself to chance it. If they were in the truck and I got rear ended, I’d never forgive myself. Have you tried your reverse lights at night? Mine were about half that dark and I had to stick my head out the door to see when backing at night. The tint literally killed all of the rearward white light throw.

Looks like you did a great job tinting them but WOW! Here, that would get you a ticket! Sure do look good on there though!

I never did replace the halogens with LED. You might have better results than I did once you do that. My tail lights and brake lights were still very visible even during the day but the reverse lights were nonexistent, lol.

You shouldn't have any issues after led bulbs... I've had dark tinted OEM led tails with zero issues . Looks great !

Is that Niteshades?
I've been eyeing some light smoke tint film for mine...I've done tint film on the taillights of my Mustang before with pretty good results, but those lights were also mostly flat. Never any issue with visibility of the lights even during the day though.
