Time for Brakes and Rotors
Im getting quotes to get my brakes done, rotor/pad replacement, what do you guys believe is a fair price? My dealer quoted me 900ish with tax, but that seems a bit high.

that's booooooolllll****. average price for brakes and rotors all the way around is $600-$700. lucky me I got a place that does it for just over $300 (sorry, not telling where. it's a supply and demand thing).

Seems pretty high. You can buy the Power Stop Z36 kit (includes everything, rotors, pads, etc.) for $429 from Stage 3. If you're feeling froggy, install them yourself... it isn't that bad, lots of good Youtube videos out there.

I think my local dealer quoted me at $400 or so per axle. To do all 4 corners myself I'll save money and can add a few tools to my garage. With discs all around it's not too complicated to do, just have to be wary of the electronic parking brake if equipped. I thinks it's like $500 for parts to do it myself when not selecting the cheapest the parts I can find. (Been a little while since I looked, my numbers may be off).

The average price to machine the rotors (on the vehicle) and replace pads at the dealership should be $179 - $199 per axle.

Be very careful if performing a pad replacement on a vehicle with an electronic parking brake.

I've always done the fresh rotors with new pads, maybe this truck is different?
