From what I have researched it basically just opens the throttle body faster with less throttle input required to do so. So rather than full pedal to open it up it will open at say the half pedal position (depending on what setting you choose). It also causes the throttle body to "slam" open rather than a slower more gradual opening.

My biggest question would be can the tune in the truck keep up with the faster throttle opening and not risk a lean condition?

Watching YouTube videos makes me think it's a reliable product however are there any real end users yet that can vouch for the results in the F150 category.

I've had Sprint Booster on Cayenne Turbo and I liked it. It did make that monster even more fun to drive. It was the only performance mod I did to the vehicle.

Has anyone used one of these with a wideband to monitor AFR? I don't doubt it works, I'm more wondering how safely it works.

I like the fact that you can change settings on the fly. Something an SCT or equivalent tuner can't do. Price is kind of steep though, even with a gb discount, for something that just controls the interface to the TB.

But that brings up another question though, can a tuner also control the speed of the throttle plate? I know they can control the ramp of the throttle, but that's completely different than the speed at which the throttle plate actuates. If they can't, then I can see how the price of this device can be justified.

This wouldn't actually be affecting the "speed of the throttle plate" per se. It's entirely for the gas pedal "feel." It receives the pedal input, and boosts the signal a bit to the computer (makes the truck think you're pressing down further than you are). You could achieve the same effect by slamming down the gas more quickly and harder, it just makes the vehicle "feel" more responsive because you get the result without actually slamming on the gas.

I have no doubt that it makes a difference in the way it feels, and the drive-by-wire lag does bother me, but what devices like this are actually doing is not worth the money to me, so I refuse to pay that much.

Here is a YouTube video I found about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t4fNcgfw4M I am waiting for my 2 to show up on the UPS truck will report back once I install it looks like 5 minute install looks like a good product.I talked to the Rep.and he claims the 370Z group says it dropped 3-4 seconds off 1/4 miles runs.
Hope it does my F150 Coyote proud.
We will see tomorrow.

That tells me I don't want one, omg 3-4 seconds in the quarter? You could charge 5k and it'd be a bargain

I'm sure this product does what most of us want out of a tune. Livens up throttle response. No way in hell it drops 3-4 seconds off a 1/4 mile time of a 370Z or a Mercury Topaz for that matter. My assumption is if you floor the throttle on a stock vehicle and floor it with one of these devices added you'll get the same result.

Since we don't floor our trucks in daily driving I can see how this would be a nice mod however.
