Throttle Body Maintenance - 2019 F150 3.5L
How do you remove the intake tube attached to the throttle body? I've watched several videos and on each one the guy just unscrews the hose clamp until it's loose then just gives a good tug and the tubing pops right off the throttle body housing. I'd like to remove the tubing to get to the throttle body and clean it, but for the life of me I can't get that tube off. My hose clamp is completely loose and I'm pulling and wiggling the tube so hard the whole truck is rocking. Is there some simple trick to getting this thing off? At this point I'm afraid I might break something if I pull any harder.
Tubing will kinda meld itself to metal. Get yourself an auto trim tool kit (plastic fishbone, prytools, etc, the kits are cheap at parts store and very handy) and work the fishbone around the edge in a few places and it'll crack free. Or if you feel like you won't damage it a small screwdriver works. I once practically pulled an S10 up the driveway by the heater core hose.
Yup, it happens. That is why they sell these hose removal tools. Autozone etc. have them also.

If you have a cotter key extractor, I've used that successfully.
