For those of you with AFTER-MARKET spray-in bed liners...
How long was your truck in the shop? I want to put one in my truck but I can't decide if I need to take a few days off work or rent a car. Did it take longer than one day to get your truck back?

1/2 a day.....

5 hours for Line-X

Had mine done in a day for Line-X Premium. Can't remember if there were any specific instructions as far as fully utilizing the bed but seems like there were.

Drop it off at Line-X in the morning, get them to give you a lift to work.
Get one of your co-workers to give you a lift back mid-afternoon or after work to pick up your truck. Start enjoying your excellent choice immediately. Seriously, I think they spend as much or more time prepping the truck than it takes to do the actual spray. |
2 1/2 hours (LineX Premium). I waited for it. Interesting topic, my local shop stated that a number of dealers are in talks with LineX about undercutting their franchises. It seems that LineX is offering a slightly modified product to the manufacturers for profit, but it has had a negative impact on profit margin for franchisees who rely predominately on dealerships for business.

Pretty much same day service for my Line-X.

Line X drove me to a coffee shop in my truck to wait... they were back in and hour 10 mins with my truck finished... make an appt. All they have to do is remove bolts, tail gate, tie downs, sand the surface and tape off your truck. The coating dries in seconds after its sprayed... weather ready but no loads for 24 hours. Lifetime warranty, 1 hour of work.

Called Line-X and got a quote Wednesday morning, said they could get me in that day. Ended up going the next. They said 2 hours on the phone but it was about 2 1/2 for the premium, said it needed a little longer to dry. Looks great to me.
