Sounds like the doggos could use a change in diet. Mine used to have some room-clearing abilities like nobody else, until we changed their diets to non-grain, low fat food and mix in some fresh veggies once a week. Problem solved.

I have a german shepherd and I have found the following three options for big dogs:
1.) Have rubber floor mats, get some kind of cover for the back seats while they are flipped up and also cover for the back of the front seats. This will minimize some of the odor and fur, but it still manages to get somewhere.
2.) Buy a camper shell or a dog box that can be attached to the bed of the truck. It will work, but is a bigger pain to remove. Also, these options aren't usually all that great in terms of crash tests if you worry about safety.
3.) Wait for Gunner Kennels to hopefully come out with their XL size dog crate. This is an expensive option, but they seem to smoke everyone else in terms of safety. Also it is easy to remove and could still be functional for every day crating. The only problem is the waiting game. I think they were supposed to release one in the first quarter of this year and now I think it is pushed back to end of the year.

I have a dog cover in the back seat which collects most of the hair. Sometimes, the hair slips through the seatbelt slot. I use a shop vac every two weeks to get most of the dog hair out. I got 3 dogs. They all shed like crazy.
Note, opening your window may make it worse, it'll get every where from the dash to the ceiling. If not, most of the dogs hair should stay towards the bottoms. Ask how I know.

My dogs have a dog hammock in the back seat and a cargo net behind the front seats. Both were purchased from Amazon.
We travel almost every week. When we come back home the hammock is removed and cleaned. Most of the hair comes with the hammock. Use a leaf blower to blow the hair out of the truck. The cargo net keeps the dogs in the back seat along with most of the shedded hair.
The truck remains very clean and odor free.

I have two giant breeds. A Landseer Newfie and a Great Pyrenees. Even keeping them groomed, they ride in my wife's 2013 Fusion and I am forever fighting the fur and "dog" smell.
I have never had them in my truck for that reason. (I am much more **** about my vehicles than she is.) Is there anyway to prevent the fur and odor problems? I know they have seat covers, etc. But it still seems like the fur gets every where.

I really think it is because they get SO excited when we go up to our cabin, because once we are there they are fine. Its like a doggy Dutch oven!

I have one that always tosses in the back seat, about 3-4 hours into the trip. Without failure.... a roll of paper towels in your truck can be invaluable lol.

Check this out. I've used one in my truck over a year. Does a decent job for the money.
