They are longer. My digital calipers say that the stock bulb (GE 912) is 1.380". The replacement I used is 1.577". Apparently the 912 bulb spec is 1.49". They do not touch the lens on my truck. The Amazon page says they're 6 watts, vs. 13 watts for the 912 bulb, so less than half the heat.
