Thinking about trading off my 16 xlt
I am thinking of trading my 2016 xlt 302a 5.0 3.55 fx4 package. Truck is a magnetic super crew 302.a with After market katzkins , leveled, at the dearlship with BFF ko2 285/55/20. Cora's aftermarket sport catback , spray in bed liner, with bakflp mx4 cover. Front end is wrapped with Son tech clear bra. Truck has 12300 miles Truck is immaculate not a ding or scratch . What would be a good asking price for it ? What about a trade in price ? Just looking for ideas?

I assume you dropped a digit on the mileage... but why would you drop all that money on a truck just to trade it off? You're going to take a bath, and most of those accessories will bring you nothing or might even hurt the value. If you have the OEM stuff, you'd be better off returning it to factory unless you sell it privately.

$35805 - $38688 for private party, $31262 - $33741 for trade in. That’s from KBB for Roanoke VA area.
from what I’ve seen looking at trucks on the used market, that is fairly accurate. A lot of what you can get comes down to how well you can negotiate it or sell it.
As was was mentioned above, what don’t you like about the truck that has you looking for a new ride? It’s a gorgeous truck!

If you're otherwise happy with the truck, you can get of lots of chrome for the bath you're going to take trading that thing off. Swap the bumpers (or go aftermarket), change the grille (few hundred bucks), have the wheels powdercoated if you want.
Have you actually driven an F150 diesel? It's... uninspiring. It does what it needs to do acceptably well. But it rates a solid "YAWN" on the fun-o-meter. Hell, for the amount of money you're going to lose, slap a Whipple on top and enjoy a 600+hp forced induction beast.

If I were you I would try to sell it yourself before trading it off. Trading it does not allow you to recoup any of the money you spent on aftermarket parts. Selling it yourself will not either but what you do lose it'll be much less than trading. I am not sure if the diesels are even on the lot so you might have some time. Listing your truck on as many websites as you can will help you sell yourself. I've had good look with Cars.com, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist.
Gorgeous truck by the way. It would be tough for me to let it go!

Just like others mentioned above, dealers won't give two poops about all the after-market equipment. If you don't sell it yourself, you will lose your butt. That is one beautiful truck. I'd try and get a few more years out of it first unless it just absolutely cannot meet your daily needs.
