Thinking about putting LT275/6520 Tires on.
 

Well folks in thinking about upgrading to a LT275/6520 tire which are the Goodyear All terrain adventures that I currently have. Do you guys have any rubbing while turning without a leveling kit? I do have some husky mudflaps and I hope they dont interfere with that. There are more LT tires options with that size than the 275/5520s that I currently have. I pull a camper and I figure it can be a little more stable pulling it. I've already installed airlift 2000 airbags, hellwig sway bar and bilstein 4600 shocks. I know I'll have a stiffer ride but I want to be safe pulling my camper. Let me know your opinions. Thanks.

Don't forget that going to a taller effectively makes your rear gear shorter

Changing from a 32" to 34.5" tire is like changing your 3.55 gears to 3.29's. Not a huge difference but somethin to keep in mind if you're towing. 33" tire would basically be a 3.45

Oh ok. Yea I forgot about that. I do have a 3.73 instead of the common 3.55. Hopefully I dont burn much more gas.

Make sure you can reprogram the computer (Forscan being the best/easiest way) for the tire size difference.

I do have Forscan but I have to apply for another license. Also will I have any rubbing issues? Do you guys have any pics of your trucks with them? Thanks.

From what I can tell, if you have a 4x2, you may see some rubbing issues requiring a bit of trimming. 4x4 seems to be OK (although I don't see anyone who has really put one under full articulation to make sure there isn't any rubbing).

Personally, the 275/65R20 looks a little "stuffed" in the front end without a level. You could always throw a set of Bilstein 5100s or 6112s on, pick the front end up an inch or two, and get a better ride. That's what I'll be doing when my factory Hankooks wear out.
