I've been reading the archives on and off for a couple of days. I am looking for something very specific. Is it possible to get a list of part numbers for my truck by using the VIN? I am tired of using Ford Parts OEM websites that make me scroll through all the variations of parts available for a particular model just to find the part *I think* might be the correct part.

For example. I want to buy a NOS OEM Ford Steering wheel for my Lariat (Mine is starting to peel). Mine is heated. When I look on the Ford websites There are a half dozen steering wheels, and more than one says "Lariat." So how the heck do I find the exact FoMoCO part number for *my* Lariat?

Is there such a list out there by VIN number?

I am not aware of any VIN specific sites. Ford catalogs are horrible and not much better in the dealership. An older parts guy can usually find the albatross parts.

Best advice: Use your VIN, find a VIN for another Lariat with different package than yours 501a or 502b, and one with Technology Package (believe this has adaptive cruise) and go to the parts department. adaptive cruise is a different steering wheel and believe 502a is heated only
