Catless downpipe for me...Cost me about $450, install was difficult and my truck can really stink like raw fuel sometimes. No powergains with the mod, just headaches trying to get it inspected, basically have to take the truck places I can rely on the staff to be uneducated enough not to notice my extremely loud and obvious turbo spool at shuttling speeds.

I read all of the hype and did a cat back in 3" of the old 5.4 Installed a Flowmaster 70 series. Argued with everyone in the shop about the muffler including the owner who had ordered in the 70 for my truck. I then did a throttle body spacer and cold air intake. Air in air out right? I drove cross country a lot for work and the muffler was to damn loud. 6-7 hours at 80 mph was more than I could take. Net result was I lost hill climbing ability on the highway and 2-3 mph. Foothills to the Rockies got me driving like a trucker fast down hill so I could make the next hill. Sold it and bought a '11 ecoboost. Swore I would leave this one alone. 89k on the motor, tires , gas, oil, shocks, and some other fluids have been changed. I was given a ODB machine and have only used it once to get rid of the error code cause of the spark plug issue in the eco's that was at 70k miles.

Bought a Flowmaster "Outlaw" catback system for my 5.0. Installed it. Then had it back off and sold in less than a week (small loss). Actual tone was nice, but way to loud and way too much drone. Felt like I had a tuba on the end of the exhaust. Always worried about stepping on the gas because I didnt want people to think I was trying to race everybody. LOL

Oh, dude, u performed a retrofit without performing a retrofit. How difficult were the halogens to bake open?

Great... I ordered a pair, they’re in the garage, I’m waiting for my truck to be delivered so I can put them on.

one thing: mine came severely distorted in a heavily damaged box... I broke out the heatgun (hairdryer) and they returned to shapen with only a little effort on my part... the heat did most of the work.

im wondering if it just takes a little effort and they’ll stay in shape...

I’m using the mobile interface or I’d “Thank you” for this.

i ordered a shorty, but it’s not a billet, it’s a copper winding covered in rubber and has flexibility and the company promotes it as their best reception shorty (but by how much?).

i think I’ll toss the stock antenna and a small wrench under my rear seat... keep it handy just in case.

Lesson learned. Don't get me wrong, the strap is well-built and works as intended but given the job it performs, a home made solution would have worked just as well and would have been way cheaper but I had mod fever and just ordered it without really thinking. Haha.

I personally didnt mind spending the money on this..... it looks like it came from the factory with it.

On my 11 I used a piece of wire and formed a loop to do the same function. Yes, it worked.... but NO, it didn't look like it belonged. That won't bother some, but it did me.

Plus, i am all about spending a little more when it goes to a good cause. Have you not ever gone to an auction/fund raiser and spent 5x the amount for something as you would have if you went to a big box store? Im glad to support the small business, only wish I had thought of it!

Its a free world and you can complain about anything you want but cmon man, thats at most a $3.00 mod and 5 minutes of your time if that lol Hell you could probably reverse that mod in a minute if you wanted to
