Looks like Borla has been at work, we will have to wait till SEMA to hear any samples...of course no clue what car/truck it will be on.

I'd have to hear it. That would be a miracle.

You can't change physics.....a 6 banger's exhaust note will ALWAYS sound like chit. Period. Sorry.

Yeah, besides all I ever hear is "I didn't buy an ecoboost for sound, I bought it for torque and mpg's ". Then that same person goes to every eco exhaust clip on the web to see what they can do to make it sound better.......

In a way they kinda are, exhaust systems have always been designed with symmetry and with gains (no matter how small) in mind. They are designing something asymmetric and focused on sound. There's a chance that this can produce something different. One pipe resonating at multiple notes in theory could achieve a great sound. It could also sound like my neighbors middle schooler self learning the sax.

Indeed, some things are best left quiet. One of the many reasons I love my 2.7, for the quiet in the cab.

My money is on B. I say, keep those Egoboosts quiet, and enjoy the engine & turbo notes.

When you add some ethanol to the gen2 ecoboost and get the ignition timing up over 8 degrees under wot it sounds quite aggressive without all the tinny sound of exhaust. Still dead quiet outside the truck i think, don't really care about exhaust on this thing, if i change a single thing it'll be the unnecessarily smaller piping where the resonator is, and nothing else.

It'll be interesting to hear a clip. Wonder if it will be retrofittable, to say, an SType, or a complete stand alone system. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I love how quiet the 2.7 ecoboost is, still can’t understand the want to make it loud but I’m getting older. Been there and done that I guess

My wife and I call it the Jetsons truck. Hahahaha

I agree on the quietness. My 2016 Explorer with the 3.5 is quiet as a church mouse and I love it.
