You can always call ford customer service as well. They can do some in deapth searches for you, since well, they know exactly who has what.

Maybe Brittany can help to? it seems as though u should be given the best chance to find the one you want if ford is willing to get you into a replacement.

I cannot do that either, the Ford RAV department has sent everything related to this transaction to the closest local dealer and I have to work through them, that's just how they do stuff apparently. The truck I found is 300+ miles away from my house and in a different state to boot...

I keep communicating the RAV person that they are not having much luck securing the vehicle I want and they are not offering any other solutions really. I have asked about this 30 day window I have to work in and they say there is some slight wiggle room there but they push as hard as they can to maintain that timeframe.

Did you get a chance to ask about a P1 order?

I did talk with the dealer today about that and it was funny as he said to me that he was also thinking about trying to go the order route for a few reasons.

First dealer trade will cost him $$ and he is not making any $$ on this sale and he will have to pay someone to go 600 miles round trip so that does not help his cause at all which i completely understand.

2nd he is not having any luck at all getting the dealers who have the 2 trucks that we found so far giving them up yet so he is spending time and not getting anywhere so far.

3rd, he knows that the 2 trucks i found have between $2-3k worth of stuff i was not looking for so, even if he can get the dealer trade done at some point in time its not the truck i was really looking for.

So all in all i have to say that he is doing what he can to try to make me happy, and after the past 2.5 years of dealing with this current trucks issues its very refreshing to finally have someone working with me to get me what i want and make me happy. He figures for less $$ he can get me the exact truck that i want, now he just has to get the Ford RAV person to give us the time frame needed to get it done and all should be good!

Must be an east coast thing there are tons of them here in Boise. Long bed is more frequent than short.

I searched ford for our zip code and there are 6 exact matches and 100+ in extended inventory ( Might have been delivered or is in route / ordered ) The 100+ started to creep in other colors. I did not look at all of them but based on the specs you call out the ones I did look at matched.

I appreciate the info!

i typed in 83704 zip code for Boise and only found 1 match local and 5 matches in the extended inventory and that only takes into account color, cab/box and engine so some of those "exact matches" only had the 301a package on them. what zip were you using??

seems from my weeks of searching that if you want a 5.5' box you wont have much trouble finding what you want, 6.5 box your out of luck!

I use 83644. The Ford site will show they are all at Corwin. But they are just the Ford site sponsor or something. They are all spread out over Corwin ( Nampa) Kendall ( Meridian ) and Lithia ( Boise ) some just over the border in Oregon.
