I've seen several pictures where you can see a lite up amber line around the outside of the headlights, is that only on certain models? I personally think it looks great.

Also, same question for the LED headlights?

I am sure it is the same technology that BMW pioneered where they have LEDs on the ends of plastic tubes and the light carries through the tube.

As for the headlights they are pure LEDs and these will be on the higher end trucks and an option for lower trims. I believe Acura started that move.

502a lariat is lowest trim with the led headlights. and the amber trim is only in the led headlights

From a pic I saw, I don't think the fog lights are LED's. I wish they'd make them LED so it'd all match.

I was thinking this was an oversight on the 2013 / 2014 with HID lights because the fogs don't match color but it was pointed out to me that it's possible the fogs perform better in a particular light spectrum. Dunno.

Noticed the new ones don't match in the test videos I've seen online. I'd prefer if they did match too.

I believe the tail lights have red LED trim as well.

The fogs are probably halogen because the point of fog lights is to light up the lower end of road right infront of you in foggy weather and snow. The color temp halogens put out although not desired aesthetically they are best for these situations. I have led headlights and fogs for my F350 and in fog and bad rain I lost my lower sight advantage that the halogens gave me. However the truck looks cool at night,in that case I picked looks over function.

Retro fit the xlt down the road. I'm sure someone will come up with a wiring harness just like the hid upgrades on the 13's
