The preproduction trucks they had at this past weekend's F-150 drive event still had the old tailgates. When I mentioned the change in the tailgate design to the Ford Rep that was there, he had no clue about it. Jeez, I should have been working the event.

my 13 with custom aftermarket drop in bed liner has a cup holder.

Future Ford option: Heated/cooled tailgate cupholders, $395.00, except you also have to buy the mandatory automatic mirror wiper/washer package which costs $795.00. Oh, and they will be hidden, they only pop out when you push a button, so you don't have to worry about them catching gravel.

The holders are similar to what is on the drop in bedliner. Great for holding cans of wood stain when I am working on a project.

They should have been deeper. They're not even as deep as the other indentations on the tailgate right next to them which is puzzling.
