Sync Connect Retrofit (in any Ford).

Ok, I got my test port harness and TCU harness from 2016BoostedGreyGoose and am very impressed. I did most of the install last night but got sidetracked by a damp passenger floorboard.
I did manage to break a pin on test port harness by trying to put it in the Remote Start/VSS T-Harness instead of the gateway connector. BUT, I am still able to get a good connection and don't have any network errors with it installed. I'll be reaching back to Boosted to buy a replacement so it doesn't cause issues down the road.
I did manage to finish the install this morning and the Activate Vehicle link is showing up but I get an Unable to connect error. The ESN is showing up in the Sync settings and the TCU shows up in Forscan on my phone so it is detected by the truck and by Ford's servers. I'm at work now but will go back out around lunch time with my laptop to see if the as-built is correct and move the truck to see if the power lines I'm parked under are causing interference.

IT'S ALIVE!
I had a bad line written in the as-built. Fixed it and it activated right away. I've tested remote start and lock/unlock and it all works perfectly. I'm also getting location and mileage reporting.

EDIT: ADDING PICS
I went through this again with my truck, while monitoring the TCU PIDs in Forscan. One of the PIDs tells you the authorization status of the TCU.
Removed truck from FordPass App, TCU still said "Authorized Mode". It's supposed to go back to "Wait For Authorize". I even
I played this game several times and could never get it to activate in FordPass, until finally I went and changed the following to a 3. This puts the TCU into initial config mode. Like it was fresh off the shelf. Wait a minute and set the bit back to a 2, (or whatever it was before).
754-01-01 XXX3 XXXX XXXX
When monitoring the Authorization Status PID, it'll go through several stages. "UNPROVISIONED", is the first then it'll say a couple other things (i'm working from memory here), then eventually back to "Wait For Authorize". Sometimes the truck will need to be running for that to happen. Then I added my truck back to FordPass and was able to authenticate it again on the APIM. Sometimes that takes a while, and if it doesn't pop up right away, you can reset the TCU and it'll pop up after the TCU get's cell signal. Now everything works. Remote Start will come back with the status that it was successful, tire pressures work. Everything is good.

HJ5T-14G087-UF from a 2017 Ford Escape installed right now.
I also have a JR3T-14G229-AK that I got in case I want to try the hotspot. I don't know the vin and the seller didn't have it so I was going to see if I could talk my way into getting it activated but I'm not sure if I want to mess with it at this point. I will probably just throw it up for sale soon.
