Sync 3 v3.3 w/Navigation Update - Build 18351 Now Available
For those of you not already aware, Ford has released an update for Sync 3 v3.3 w/navigation. The current Build # is 18351 (previously 18266) - CIP# 4U5T-14G381-AM. Gracenotes version has not changed. I do not know what has changed with this new release. I am speculating it may address the issues described by SSM 47741** but can't validate that. I was not able to download the new release through the crappy Ford Owner website. I had the dealer install using IDS.
**SSM 47741 - 2019 Various Vehicles With SYNC 3 - Rear-View Camera Stays On, Intermittent Solid Blue Screen And/Or Inoperative Infotainment Applications
Some 2019 Mustang, Continental, Fusion, MKZ, F150, Edge or Nautilus with SYNC 3 may have a symptom of a rearview camera that remains on the screen when moving forward above 5 MPH or a solid blue screen once the vehicle is at cruising speed. Some vehicles may experience inoperative infotainment applications such as Apple CarPlay. To eliminate these symptoms from occurring, it is recommended to disable the Wi-Fi in the settings menu by selecting Automatic updates. Shut off system WIFI and then disable automatic updates. If the vehicle is stuck in the rear camera state you can exit this state by shutting the vehicle off and powering the system down for at least three minutes. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
Somebody please let me know if it fixes it automatically switching to FM on power cycle glitch. I'm not jumping on the upgrade bandwagon anymore until I'm forced to.
