I disabled mine with forscan, easy to do. I found that very annoying since I travel a lot. It’s the main reason I started messing with forscan.

What do I have to do to override this? So stupid!!!

On Sync 3? Its my number one priority to figure out how you did it.

There is no reason my passenger shouldn't be able to use the navigation that cost me $800 bucks extra.

How is the truck supposed to know it is the passenger and not the driver entering a destination??

My '16 Nav. works while in motion by passenger or driver and voice control on steering wheel. Have not crashed truck to test out 911.

Voice control works great 90% of the time.

Destination POI
Nearby
By Name
Say Name
Choose the right one from the list

Provided it’s not a brand new business.

Entering the address by voice also works at least 9 times out of 10.

Destination Street Address
1234 South Main Street Atlanta Ga

Done. It’s not that difficult.

6 step process to get to the point I can select from a list. Its way easier in my impala and cruze. The truck could detect that there is a passenger in the passenger seat and allow the nav to be operated while in motion. Additionally, last night I got a text while driving. I listened to it thru the speakers.. BUT it would not allow me to voice reply a message back. I had to read 5 screens and select one from the list. Totally worthless and not nearly as nice as the chevy units that allow you so say something (voice to text) that sends back to the recipient. I started reading the 6 screens of options of what it would allow you to send back and that was more distracting than anything.

This might be difficult for some, but learning how to use sync navigation takes a little practice but, once you learn the steps it works great. I use it all the time and like it.

Most if not all navigation systems will not allow you to enter a new address while moving. The very second your wheels stop rolling it will allow entry. They will however, allow you to set a destination such as Home or a recently used address while moving since it is usually a 1 or two button push. This safety feature is an awesome thing. I really wish cell phone would do the same.

The one feature that you can use while driving is Previous Destination.

Or you learn a second language and Sync will do its thing fairly well.
