Sync 3 navigation not operable by passenger with vehicle in motion

This has me furious. Yesterday trying to find a hardware store an hour from home.. we were running late and on some background and I got a little lost. I asked my girlfriend to get the on board nav to get us there.. the thing would NOT let her do anything because we were moving. Voice operation was a total joke and might as well be worthless. What do I have to do to override this? So stupid!!!

There is no reason my passenger shouldn't be able to use the navigation that cost me $800 bucks extra.

How is the truck supposed to know it is the passenger and not the driver entering a destination??

This might be difficult for some, but learning how to use sync navigation takes a little practice but, once you learn the steps it works great. I use it all the time and like it.

Most if not all navigation systems will not allow you to enter a new address while moving. The very second your wheels stop rolling it will allow entry. They will however, allow you to set a destination such as Home or a recently used address while moving since it is usually a 1 or two button push. This safety feature is an awesome thing. I really wish cell phone would do the same.
