In addition, go into the regular Bluetooth settings (settings, connections, Bluetooth) and select the 3 dots on the upper right of the screen. Select "Dual audio" from that one and turn it on. This made a big difference on my S8 being able to maintain the connection to the vehicle.
S7...no dual audio. Did update the SmartThings app...will see if that helps. Thanks.

BillGriz, I am in the same fix as you regarding the outdated map that is supplied in my 2018 Platinum F150. I was pretty hot when
I discovered a local toll road that is over 3 years old is not on the map that came with the truck. But then I was made even more upset
when I rode in my Daughter's 2018 Explorer with Sync 3 and Nav, the map in her system has that toll road in it. So the Explorer accessory line got the updated maps but the F150 line did not. This is crap. Especially when you call Ford and they tell you the company that provided the maps hasn't got an update available. (Really, why don't you go over to the Explorer's assembly line and ask them where they got theirs.)

The one thing that makes the oem Nav system worthwhile is the link to the instrument panel. When using navigation for directions if you change the dash display to Nav/Compass the turn instructions appear on the instrument panel, saving you from having to look to the center dash screen.

But anyway I'm just waiting for the WAZE update that allows me to use it in CarPlay.

RoadK9,
That's interesting that the Explorer has newer maps. Like I'd mentioned, I called the map co. and they said maps were released in March so not sure what the deal is with Ford and the F150.
I don't seem to have the link to the instrument panel. Did not see a menu item to change the Nav/compass. Sounds like a nice option. The nav program seems to work well (for nav, not traffic) but of course, doesn't help if the maps are so far out of date.
Map version on mine is NA 15. Curious what the Explorer has.

The Waze update was loaded on my iPhone Wednesday. I have been using it and It is my go to
app for long trips now. I still think the Ford nav is good for short trips but without an up to date map
it can't be trusted on long trips or areas that you aren't totally familiar with. But the Ford app is used by the
dashboard to give arrows directly in front of the driver. No other map applications has accessed that Ford feature yet.
