Default The F-150 can tow!

Towed my first decent load with my 3.5ecoboost.
I was a little bit heavy on my payload and tongue weight.
The truck and trailer weighed in at just under 6000lbs

Overall I was very impressed with how it towed. I never once experienced any sway of any kind towing around 100km/hr. The ecoboost has more then enough power. I actually got decent fuel economy right around 14L/100km

There was lots of space between the rear axle and bump stops.

In the future when moving this truck I'll be sure to use weight distribution.

Nice rig! It's hard to beat towing with an ecoboost IMO. My 2.7 tows better than my previous 5.7 tundra, has better performance overall and gets significantly better mpg.

My only complaint is the engine braking when going down a hill is much worse then my 5.0L F-150 work truck.

I'm guessing it's because of the much smaller displacement ?

Hmm, not sure. Assume you were in tow/haul mode? I actually find the tow/haul down shifting/engine braking fairly aggressive which I like. However, MN is pretty flat so cannot comment how it performs down steeper grades or how it compares to non EB engines.

It CAN tow, indeed. Even above 60 km/hr when properly equipped.
