So you couldn't see street signs with your old setup? So either your cutoff was too low or mine is too high, because I can see signs with no problem. I'm not getting any complaints tho from other drivers.

So last night I ran an errand right around dusk and it appears that I have street sign illumination back!! I still need a few more trips at night to confirm - but when i pulled in my neighborhood I did a quick test and turning on and off the fogs, I could see the street signs light up!
As for their performance over stock - i would say they are brighter than stock. I havent had stock halogen fogs for a while, but I do recall when i would turn them on it didnt seem light there was much of a difference.
Also these lights definitely shine out to the side more. That one thread that showed the overhead view of the light pattern, it appeared they shined straight ahead like a headlight. But the illumination is definitely more at an angle off to the side.
I will keep everyone updated as I get a few more night trips under my belt.
MagNitto - do you have HIDs? Seeing the cutoff on the Morimotos, I am not sure how high I would have to aim them to get the reflection i need. Anxious to hear about your setup.

I tend to agree with this. If you can't see street signs, you must have your headlights adjusted incorrectly. Even with a strong cutoff, there should be enough light scattered to illuminate signs, unless you are aimed too low, or you just have very poor night vision.

Anzo projector housings and Diode Dynamics HID kit. When I aimed them I measured from ground to middle of the headlight, then transferred that measurement to a fence line with tape, then parked 25 feet away and aimed the lights to just below the tape lines. This is how the manual says to do it. I have a 2.25" level on the truck, so I adjusted the aim another couple inches down to compensate for this. I hope they aren't too high, but seem ok....

Sounds like you are wanting your fogs to serve as supplemental driving lights? I would not expect properly aimed fog lights to illuminate street sights that 5-7' above the ground....

I wasn't talking about my fogs, I was responding to the OP's comments below about his HID headlights:
But since the HIDs have a super sharp cutoff and so do the Morimotos, I felt a bit blind at night because no street signs would illuminate. Since there is no light bleed above the cutoff, then street signs stay dark.
