Suspension Decisions
Hey everyone,
Just a few quick questions about which route I should take. I have a 2017 XLT 4x4 Screw 2.7l, and have been back and forth on what direction I want to take it. First of all my truck is on pavement 99% of the time, however that doesn't mean I don't want it to look awesome! I have been wondering if I should go for the full Fox 2.0 front and rear setup verses your standard level kit? I would like to get either stock or better ride quality if possible. Is it worth it to go with the Fox setup over just a level kit for just on road usage? Also if leveling kits are more of a harsh ride, I would probably side for the Fox setup, but even then the whole setup is pretty expensive verses just the level kit.
Wheels and tires will come eventually, but obviously quicker if I'm only adding the leveling kit. I'm pretty much settled on the KO2s since I have had them on a few other vehicles and loved them! I will be in the snow a lot during winter and they have never let me down. I don't necessarily want the largest tires I can fit with either setup, more so just something to give a little better stance, and not kill my gas mileage (currently averaging 17.5).
Any help and or links would be greatly appreciated!!

The Fox's will give you a far better ride than stock or a leveling kit. They are expensive though, but many people (including myself) think they're worth it.
There are less expensive but still high quality options out there. Most people love the Bilstein 6112 setup. I just took a quick look at Stage3Motorsports web page for example, and they sell the front Bilstein 6112 adjustable coilovers and the rear Bilstein shocks all together as a package for a little over $700.

I appreciate the input. Also will definitely look into the Bilstein setup, I know they are great quality, and would ride pretty well. Since the truck is rarely off road I hate to spend the premium for off road parts that will never be used close to their potential. Only down side I see with the Bilstein option is the backorder, and wont receive them until August

I can't imagine dropping multiple K for a strictly on-road vehicle. 5100s all around, or the 6112/5100 combo mentioned above, would be quite sufficient.

Cool. I'm sure you'd be very happy with the Bilsteins. The Fox package is about $500 more (total) for all four corners. So that's something you can decide. If you didn't see my post above (you and were typing at the same time haha) it looks like the Bilstein shortage / backorder is over and people are successfully getting them.

I just saw that and checked it out! Thanks! For my use the Bilsteins would be great Im sure. I don't need all the off road stuff, but would like a better ride. Also with the cheaper setup I can afford some wheels and tires to go along with them.
