How about your optometrist too?

Jeez some people ...
In the state of Pennsylvania you can submit a damage claim for fresh Road Paint getting on the vehicles. However since the road i was on is not a DOT maintained road, they cant do anything

So next time, get some facts and come back and see me

Here’s a fact - responsible adults either see fresh paint and avoid it or hit it and handle the repairs themselves.

here is a fact for you. Sensible people don't make dumb posts in a thread that has nothing to do with the question people ask in the original post.

Here is another fact for you. Smart people look at all available options, and not just rely one thing and kick and scream until they get their lollipop. If you read my original post, i am looking at all possible options.

If you have nothing to say that is helpful, just go away and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

If the warranty fails you, check with a detail shop. Maybe mbullock here will see this and chime in.

Matt21, don't use lacquer thinner again. It's much too aggressive and will remove factory paint from the truck and permanently damage plastics. Mineral spirits or turpentine are OK. They'll remove wax but should not harm the paint or clear coat.

As a few others have suggested, oils will probably work best and won't damage the finishes... they do require some wet time to work. Mineral oil or petroleum jelly are good choices.

On Friday, the people in my township decided to put down new Yellow Paint for the lines on the road i live on. However without realizing this happen (didnt see a Line Truck or signage) the driver side of my truck was tagged (its in the wheel wells, OEM fender Flares, tires, wheels, bottom of my doors, running boards are covered, undercarriage and bumpers). The road i live on is not that wide especially when you have a truck, so if you pass someone on the road, you are basically in the ditch.

So i was reading the Brochure for this SurfaceCare and it said it would cover bird droppings, accidental overspray, road grime, etc... Does anyone know if the Yellow Road Paint would be included in this?

I did go to the dealer that i purchased the truck from with a copy of the warranty, but the Service Lady never heard of this SurfaceCare Warranty before, but she is supposed to call me back on Monday after looking into this...........if she does.

I have a few more call to make on Monday, going to call the township if they will do anything about this. I already called PennDOT about this, but since its not a Highway they don't cover this.

I tried to use Lacquer Thinner and Goof Off, i can get the small piece offs, but the thick baked on stuff will be hard to get off. It already took some of the paint off the OEM Fender Flares (really debating about putting Mud Flaps on the truck, so it would cover those areas, where the paint is missing).

I am just lost right now, I am upset about this and basically feel like i have to live with this, or pay out of pocket to get it fixed and it probably wont be cheap.
Sue the county.

I have had the yellow paint on my last F150 but not to the extent you describe. I used Super Clean ( purple bottle available at Wal Mart) full strength. It also works well for tar and raised white letter tires. It does not hurt the paint or chrome.

My wife got into that on her 2 day old 17 Escape (Ruby Red) The next day she took it to a detail shop and they were able to remove it with some product. Charged $45, took them about an hour but they got it off everything, even the grey plastic trim.
I contacted the county where it happened and since no signs were posted that stated wet paint they offered to reimburse us.

This. I've used mineral spirits with great success on paint, tar, and pavement sealer overspray. It will obviously remove the wax, but it does not harm the finish.
