I love my sunroof. But to try to add one to a truck that doesn't have one doesn't seem feasible. Your talking about more than cutting a hole in the roof and installing. Your into cutting the original roof section out and replacing with a new aluminum roof panel. New headliner etc. There may be an aftermarket option out there? I don't think it's a road I would want to go down.

One dumb idea if you ask me. Cutting a hole in the roof of your truck and then messing with the wiring harness? Sounds like a disaster, and for what? Road noise and some fresh air.

I love my moonroof - no leaks, but never would I cut open a brand new truck, rewire and install one. If it's that important, just make sure to get that option next time. ( BTW it's an expensive option so I imagine it would be a fortune to buy and install one. )

I have had the roof in my 2007, 2010, 2013 and now my 2015. Not an issue with any of them.

I do agree with others, I would not spend the money to install and cut the vehicle aftermarket.

Seems like most of the oems leak.
I disagree with the generalization that "most of the oems leak." I've had zero issues with mine leaking. I love mine and use it all of the time.

Agreed! Mine has been perfect. There have been a few on this forum with leaks, but when they build half a million sunroofs and only have a handful of leaks that's not too bad. Outside of this forum, I haven't heard of one leaking. I know quite a few people that have them now.

Lots of people get aftermarket sunroof's installed so they must not all leak. Having a hole cut in my roof always weirded me out.
Knock on wood, my 15 hasn't leaked yet. If you have to go for it, T-Tops for the win!
