Default Subwoofer choice

Hi -
for my 2015 XLT SCREW I have a Sync2. I do not wish to spend the $ on upgrading the head unit as I just enabled NAV on it with FORscan. I just want the stereo in the truck to sound a bit better and more bass. And do it cheaply.
I was thinking of this..

I listen mostly to rock and heavy metal..

I recently purchased this truck so upgrades will start trickling. I figured I would start on the I side where all the time is spent then move out 😊

FYI, I went to the Audio store just to "upgrade" the 6x9s up front. I was a previous Audio dude and knew it would be dangerous going there.

Depending on what you want, the added bass will be a nice addition, but it won't be enough. You'll spend at least a grand in "minor" upgrades just to get your front and rear doors to match the added bass.

I installed the alpine pwe-s8 and have been really happy with it. Fills in the sound pretty good wouldn't call any 8" woofer a "sub" but for sure good mid-bass and all I wanted in my application.
