Default STX Tires

I have a 2017 STX with stock tires on the stock 20" wheels. I want to put a little more aggressive tire on and something a little bigger. But, I don't want to lift the truck, other than maybe leveling it, and I want to keep the stock wheels. I could use some insight and advice:

1 - How big can I go on the tires without them rubbing and without have do more than level front end? Can I venture out from the 275/55R20 size that comes stock?
2 - I want an all terrain, but not too aggressive. I really only drive on the road, rarely, if ever, off road. Moving to all terrain tires in purely aesthetic for me. Because of this I'm leaning towards something like the Nitto Tera Grappler G2. It's much more rugged than the stock tires but should still ride quiet. What other tires would you recommend to achieve that goal? (For comparison, something like the BFG K02 is a little more aggressive than I want)

I'm new when it comes to truck tires. I've always had cars in the past and stuck with stock sizes, so I don't really know how far you can deviate from that with making changes to suspension. Any feedback and advice is appreciated!

(I apologize if there is another thread already answering this that I didn't find)

I’m glad you posted this, I was having these same thoughts the other day.

My Hankooks are going to need replaced sometime this year, maybe next.

The stock size is 31.9 I think you can go 33s before needing to level.

275/60/20 is a 33in tire but narrow like stock and you should be able to fit that without a level.

Very new to forum, but I leased my 2018 in June of 18 and am planning on buying out. Once that is complete I am planning on the rough country 3" leveling lift with upper control arms and N3 shocks along with 295X60X20 on the stock rims. It should work out to 34s which are 2 inches bigger than the stock 275X55. I'm hoping the bigger tires do not rub on the inside while not sticking out past the fenders on the outside. With tires and lift, I should end up with 4" in front and 3" back lift, without tires sticking out..... I hope.

Thanks! That's helpful info. If I leveled it (I'm guessing a 2" or 2.5" kit), could I go up to 275/65/20? That would be 34.1", right?

The 2021 STX’s come with Hankook 275/60/20 tires
275/60R20
Diameter : 33.0"
Width : 10.8"
Wheel : 20" x 7.5-9.5"
Sidewall : 6.5"
Circum. : 103.6"
Revs/Mile : 612

This is a good site to compare tires

Bigger, how?
Overall appearance?
Taller?
Wider?

So 2021 MY has 60 vice 55 series? How much did the suspension change compared to the previous generation. That’s 1.1” diameter increase (or .55” radius) to hit suspension.

275/60r20 will fit nice...there are some people able to fit a 275/65r20 stock but not sure how they managed that.

Since you mention a level, that will allow you to go a little bigger...i would find some tire sizes you like and search for pics...on a level 34x11 fit nicely (275/65), you can go a little taller but once you start going wider you start limiting your height without making modifications.

Ive always run Nitto Terra Grappler G2 but recently went to Falken Wildpeak AT and they are ridiculous great. Quiet, smooth, great in the rain and the snow, and just took them on an 8 mile OHV trail and it did great.

So stock or a small level i vote the Falkens at 275/60r20. On a full level, i vote the same or even bump to a 275/65r20
