Very nice...
I just used a piece of heavy picture hanging wire I had in the junk drawer. wrapped the ends and sealed with electrical heat wrap.

Amazingly stupid that Ford didn't engineer a release to begin with. Same goes with front parking sensors, IMHO.

Trying to figure it out!
I did my own quite a while back (before they part was being made) as well by drilling a hole in the gold pin and running a key ring through it. Would I pull it off just to support someone? Nope.
