I do like to listen to the radio during long trips (Baseball, Hockey and Football) so reception is a main selling point.

Thanks
Save your money and just cut off part of your oem antenna like I did. I shortened it to 2” above the roof. That way it doesn’t whip my garage but I still get good reception and it serves as an early warning if I was about to scalp my truck!

I purchased the "Stubby" from Amazon a few months ago. Seemed to work fine, but then when I was up snowboarding barely tapped it with my snow brush and busted right off. Think I will try the one from The Antenna Source as it appears to have some bend to it.

The 6 3/4" antenna uses copper wire wound inside a in a manner which allows us to tune this antenna, primarily for FM reception strength. It also uses stainless steel threading made here in the USA. In a world of short antennas it performance is amazing. Our 13" rubber antenna is going to be our most durable antenna if that is what one is trying to obtain. Feel free to email or call with any questions.

This is what I have done on the last two trucks.

1. Cut 3-4 inches off the top.
2. Use a vise grip to remove the ball from the piece cut off.
3. Drill out the hole a bit to re-attach it to the remaining antenna.
4. Super glue the ball back on to the shorter antenna.
5. Use black liquid tape on the modified area to regain factory appearance (it's black, and helps in reattachment).

Good luck!

Ordered the Stubby brand one off Amazon - total garbage. Just ordered the AntennaSource one, hoping for better results.
