Well if anyone was thinking of installing a CAI in their truck, well worth it. It sounds great on our engine. The fitment was great everything slides right in and out.

I did my first oil change about a month ago. It is a metal drain plug.

The lane change signal changes from 3 flashes to 5 flashes with a trailer attached. Mileage dropped to 15. It really is nice to go days and days without stopping for gas. I would be on E in 3 days with the 5.4. Now I could go 8 days. Next challenge is to see how far empty is from 0 miles to empty. Putting a 5 gallon can in back and run it out. Everything is guessing until somebody does it.
Running an engine completely out of gas is not the best idea. Gas is what lubricates and cools your fuel pump and injectors. Running it till it dies requires pumping lots of air through the fuel system and overheating your fuel pump while running it dry. Not the best idea for longevity. Just fill up when you get below 1/4 tank, why push it?

Finally picked up my new truck yesterday. Got really lucky with rebates. Ford had a total of $ 2,500 and I got a card this week in the mail from Ford for an additional $1,000. Was pleasantly surprised when the final price was $ 3,500 lower than originally quoted when ordered.

Question: I cannot figure out how to have my truck options show up at bottom of my post like I see with others?

Go up almost to the top of the page, and you'll see "User CP" on the left side. Click on that, and then again on the left side, pick "edit signature".

Thanks for the info Andy. So easy when you know what to do!!
Sounds like our trucks are similar.
I have only put about 100 miles on my truck so far. I currently also have a Superduty so the new f150 is like driving a cadillac. The 3.5 NA seems to be all the engine I want or will ever need in this truck. I think this engine would be more practical for a lot more F150 owners if they would give it a chance.

You're quite welcome. When I saw your pic, I said to my wife that it looks just like ours, except for the extra row of seats (I think I'm up to about 360 miles now). I agree, I think the 3.5na will be just fine.
