Default Strange fast blink issue after upgrading front blinkers

So I upgraded my front stock blinkers to switch back LEDs to the ones recommended by HeadlightRevolution. All has been going well until I took a small roadtrip yesterday. When I turn on my right blinker, it started with the quick flash inside the vehicle. I thought, either I've blown a bulb or the resistor wiring has come loose. I continued driving until I reached my destination, turned the right blinker on again, which promptly started fast flashing inside the cabin, walked around the truck, ODDLY, both front and back blinkers were blinking at the regular flashing speed.

Turned off the car for an hour, came back to it, seemed fine, driving back home, an hour into the drive, it started again.

Any ideas where I can start to troubleshoot this?

There are flasher modules that are designed to work with LED bulbs. You may try one of those.

Did you install the resistors?

GTR Lighting 50 watt 6 ohm Gold Style Resistors

When installing LED bulbs to replace your factory blinker bulbs, you will have a "fast flash" or "hyperflash" problem. This means the vehicle will think you have a light bulb burnt out and, as an indicator to you, will flash quicker than normal. Installing these resistors will fool your vehicle into thinking it has a light bulb in good condition installed and will blink normally. Simply wire the resistor between the ground wire and the blinking positive wire.

Yes the resistors are installed. The left one works seamlessly, the right one works too - as far as the blinkers are concerned. It's only on the inside of the vehicle in the instrument cluster where the fast blink occurs, not on the actual blinkers.

Since only one side does it my guess would be the resistor came loose. The Forscan fix for fast blink is WAY easier then hacking up your wire harness. This is a good example of why to use it instead.

Sorry to say your probably going to have to tear it down again.

These trucks do not have flasher modules.

I'd yank both resisters and disable hyberflash with Forscan.

I've been hesitant to start messing with ForScan but looks like I will have to dive into it. Is this the best adapter one to get?

Thanks for that, I tried quickly to locate the data transfer speeds, do you know how much it is?
