I put 20% on my front. Its not the best angle but it gives you an idea.

Only did my fronts with 20% and now want to do the rear with ceramic. Fronts help with heat and I believe UV protection but the factory glass in the back doesn't. Ceramic will give me protection all around.

The 18% actually looks closer to what the OEM dyed glass is. Do tint shops have a light meter that can give an actual number?

I did ceramic 20% on fronts and its identical to the rears. Eventually I want to put 50 or 55% on the rear doors, back windshield, and front windshield. Just don't want to drop the $$ right now to do it.

I did Xpel 20% on the fronts. The outside looks very close to a match. It will be very hard to get exact as the rear windows are coloured glass.
If I were to do it again, I would look at different brands with different tint colours. The Xpel is kind of a bluey/charcoal, and the stock rears pull more of a brownish colour. Once you're on the inside its very obvious. Overall, I'm happy with the look from the outside, and the UV protection is awesome. Its way cooler sitting in traffic now.

My shop said they only offer 5,10,15,20% and so on. If you're looking for a 18-19% you will likely have to shop around.
Good Luck

I have a light meter and if I remember right the front (clear) windows were around 92% and the back were around 22%. I've since put EWF classic black 20% (really 18%) on all windows so can't measure the windows without tint but my fronts are now 17% and 4% on the rear. My meter is only calibrated to be accurate within 2% though so numbers could be slightly off.

really opened ended question here but what should I expect to pay to get the front windows tinted to match the back? I assume i'd have to go with 20%?

Also, the back privacy glass isnt heat or uv rejecting? I just assume I put on a 50% back there as well to get that benefit.

the back windows are not heat or uv rejecting, just color. i had the entire truck tinted - 15 on front passenger and driver and 80 on everything else including the double pane sun roof and wind shield. coast me around $500. the 80 will give you all the benefits of ceramic tint without making the window darker
