Default Stock 20 pvd rims

Wondering if anyone else has black spots on their rims. Three of the four of my rims have spots that the mirror like finish is gone and it's black underneath. One spot on each rim. The spots are about the size of a quarter. I contacted dealer two months after I purchased the truck and warranty was denied. Claiming I used a corrosive cleaner. At that point the dealer had washed the truck to install undercoating and I hade went through an auto wash once.

We do pvd coatings and that looks like there was something on the bare substrate prior to coating preventing proper adhesion

I have American Racing rim for our Edge andthey are peeling like that. I have never used any corrosive cleaners. You can peel it with with a finger nail. Horrible quaility. Fight Ford as its only going to get worse.

You did your truck a diservice by getting that kind of undercoating. All it does is trap moisture and help your truck rot, and it just looks bad. If you can get it removed do it, and stick with an oil based spray like Krown.

Sorry to see your rims are going to **** as well.
