Mine were in a separate cellophane wrapped package with the instruction book on how to set it up. I don't even have a trailer but borrowed one from a Co worker the other day and set it up to just see how it works. Its a cool feature for sure. I am so used to doing the old fashioned way I couldn't get used to it.

Also they send u more than 1 sticker in case you have more than 1 trailer or damage one I guess...

Yeah, dealer never gave me the insert, went there today and got it, I'll mess around with it before my trip this week. If this gives the girl confidence to back the boat into the water, it's an awesome feature.

What do safety features have to do with backing a trailer up without a nanny?

I don't need them...do you?

Y'all can flap your gums all you want. If someone can't perform the simple task of backing a trailer up without having a self steering nanny do it for them then yea, I don't think they need to be hooked up to a trailer.

Why not find an open spot and teach her how to back up a trailer herself? What happens when these stickers on the trailer get submerged? One flick of the switch and your jacknifed off the boat ramp because the camera can't see?

You either love new technology or hate it, as you get older, people tend to get stuck in their ways.

Embrace change....

I'd rather embrace teaching my kids how to actually do something. My daughter can back a trailer where most people couldn't drag a rope...that's way cooler than stickers and a **** on the dash.

What happens when the camera loses sight of the stickers though? Won't someone actually have to drive the thing themselves? Wouldn't it behoove you to give your girl some lessons for if that happens?

If your sticker is submerged then the boat is probably set to high up on the trailer. Only thing I could think of is maybe a ramp not steep enough to the point your entire trailer is dunked. Other than that, the entire trailer should not be dunked.

The backup assist won't let you jackknife. Someone said it wouldn't let you and I actually tried and it won't.

I've seen plenty of men yell at their ladies at boat ramps. But how many times do men take their women out on empty lots with a boat to practice?

The backup assist is just a cool feature to mess with. I never use it at crowded places because I've back up trailers for years the "normal way." But at place where there's not too much traffic, it is a fun thing to mess with.
