OP, I know this thread is old. Did you ever get anywhere with this? I am thinking about doing the same thing. I stumbled across this which would work for you but I have a 2015 and it won’t work on mine. If you scroll down and click on installation manual it tells you where to find the wire for the mode button in the passenger kick panel.

$300 so you don't have to press a button twice?!? I manually did DRL & FOGS every day for 2 years cause I was too lazy to ask someone to help me with forscan. I think I can manage 2 clicks when I wanna waste some gas

Well good for you. I did not post it to spend $300, I posted it for the wiring diagram that the OP asked for to use a $7 switch to automate it. For $7 I will gladly be lazy.

Yup. Went all millenial on yah and jumped the gun. Didnt see the part about the manual and hwhat not. What kind of switch would you use to automate that? Just like a keep alive capacitor?

Any simple module or switch that can be programmed to provide a double pulse should work, something like this:

So basically when you start the vehicle it will send a double pulse to the drive module sending it to sport mode?

So a double-click chooses sport mode on a stock truck? I have to toggle that damn switch like 5 times to get to sport mode (at the end of the 5 modes). The good news is I don't have to deactivate start/stop after choosing sport. But it's slightly annoying having to choose it every time.
