Default Speedo calibration-Canadian version, US dealer says it's an issue?

My XLT is a Canadian version. I replaced the stock 245/70/17's with a set of 2015 18" FX4 Take-offs with factory 275/65/18's. The dealer told me they couldn't recalibrate my speedo due to it being a Canadian version. Personally, I think the service writer was fairly new b/c he wasn't even aware of Canadian trucks being shipped down and sold in the states. The TPMS does read each tire correctly although, b/c the originals were Load E and required higher psi, my low pressure light is constantly on now. I don't see why they can't reset both to the factory 18" FX4 settings. Thoughts?

Since 2015 the dealer can no longer reprogram tire size or gear ratio on the F150s with IDS.

Requires an aftermarket tuner or Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator

Read the Forscan sticky thread and do it yourself.

Well, that stinks. I don't recall reading that elsewhere.

Aside from the cost, which system is the overall best in performance, dependability/reliability and doesn't effect factory warranty, HyperTech or Forscan?

Get the Hypertech. The Forscan cannot change all the values and causes a DTC due to this. Just the limitation of the forscan not being able to reach the PCM module.

I have forscan and purchased a Hypertech for my speedometer for this reason.

I'll definitely start researching the Hypertech. I started a while back but got lost in all my other wants and needs…Thanks for the information.
