Default special rebate through Ford

I can't find where I saw it and it just hit me that I'm about to pull the trigger on a truck. I've seen people mention you could get an extra rebate by logging on to the Ford website and telling them you are ready to buy--or something like that. I think it was something like $750. Now I looked around the Ford site and this site and I can't figure anything out. So if you know what I mean, please be specific because like I say I've just been fiddling with that site already so I wouldn't have to bug you.
Thanks,
Mike Todd

Request a brochure; indicate you intend to buy in 0-30 days. Brochure will come with/without rebate in about a week. I read here that you can call FORD customer service a couple days later and they can look up if you have a rebate. The term I believe is a "private cash offer" or something like that. Last brochure I got had a $750, but some people report they get as much as $1500

So the request is for a brochure mailed? Not the PDF?
Thanks,

FWIW, I requested twice, once online and once with an agent on the phone, and never got the brochure or rebate.

its really hit or miss. I've tried requesting the brochure 5-6 times with different addresses. I only got one coupon from all those attempts.

And you don't need the coupon in hand. If ford grants you one, the dealer can look it up with all the other rebates.

Join the American quarter horse association. Think they still qualify for an extra 500 rebate also after the waiting period

Is that a reference to "mustang"? I thought they qualified of x-plan or something, but not an extra discount. Thanks if so. It's hard to navigate all this.

Join your local farm bureau for 30 bucks and get 500 off. If you are a veteran they also give a discount for that as well

Ask your dealer if your name shows up in their Smart Vincent program. I believe this program is zip code specific. Make your best deal and THEN ask for you in the system. This worked for me when I bought my 2010. Another thought, go to a dealer that you have no interest in buying a truck from and after getting your best price, ask if you are in the system. Good Luck!
