I've been saying for years that we should go back to an eye for an eye mentality when dealing with a**holes who commit violent crimes instead of worrying about their civil rights!
Glad you are ok. Hope they catch the idiots that did it.

We're far too polite here in Canada. We'd probably just thank him for not throwing a bowling ball.

Send him down here. We'll handle it.

Your insurance won't go up from this as it was not your fault, you will just have to pay your deductible to ICBC. Better to get it fixed right.

Northern Vancouver Island here - I think about this kind of stuff every time I am down around the lower mainland or the lower Island - it seems to be so often reported on in the news. It is especially concerning to me as I ride a motorcycle as well, and sometimes I am just glad that there are level crossings with traffic lights instead of more overpasses. That being said, one evening we were driving just outside of Victoria, pulling away from an intersection, and our truck was shot at by someone hiding in some shrubbery with a BB gun. Chipped the canopy near the cab.

Pretty sad and idiotic.

We're asked politely to. I don't have to oblige.

An advantage to Texas... we have miles and miles of very flat, very desolate areas where no one ever goes. Except coyotes, buzzards, and other vermin-consumers.

In other news... I'd hate to be the one having to detail that truck now. It'll be a pain in the *** to get that melon out of everything!

Thankfully I'm a nut about keeping the truck clean, so I actually didn't mind that part!

I know what you mean. It was such a nice day that I almost rode the Harley out instead of taking the truck. Could have been a much different ending to the story!

If that's true that sound amazing. We got hail damage on both of our vehicles (my wife and I worked at the same place and both cars were there that day).

The insurance company took care of it, but we moved to MI shortly after. When I got my insurance quotes they all raised them because of a "claim" I made a little over a year prior.

I asked, "You mean the weather event I had no control over and in no way would mark me as more high risk than anyone else that ventures out of a garage?"
"Yep, money please!"

Good, good stuff.

Glad to hear you are safe. That kind of stuff worries me, but probably a lower chance of what happened here than any of the other methods of dying while driving, still doesn't make it much less scary.
