That is part of it. But also I use my truck as a truck, and the dam thing was squatted anytime I loaded it. Also with their wheel liners, you can't see the coils to know where you are at. Also the stupid shift **** almost got me a few times going down the road. Why you would make it similar size and texture to the radio know is just dumb. I put a milk bottle cap holder thing flipped inside out on the know so it would jab me. Also the radio auto turn on at high volume when you start the truck was annoying when trying to have a conversation.
The engine did well enough but does lack power. My lifetime mpg was 25. The 4wd system is all clutch based with no true locking function, making it terrible in mud and sand. The truck was not comfortable, and the boat like ride made passengers sick. Also the short bed walls screwed me a few times when I needed to haul things under my cover. The bumps and transmission tunnel are horribly placed. My wife constantly complained and no space in the passenger footwell.
The truck is also just built cheaper. At 33k it was needing new wheel bearings, and the transmission felt loose. If you didn't use the parking brake it would roll about a foot. Also the exterior chrome was falling off, and the black door tape was bubbling and peeling.
The computer system was horrible. It would lock up all the time requiring you to shut off for 20 minutes or disconnect the battery to reset. Also the interior lay out was just dumb. What idiot engineer put the tow haul next to the traction control button needs shot. Nothing like having to look at your center console while going down a windy hill to accidentally hit the TCS button.
Also the fact they cancelled my lifetime warranty and said they will only warranty the ecodiesel to 100k didn't make me feel safe.
Also I had to put 3 windshield fluid sensors in the dam thing, because it would short with any rainx type fluid. Also the dam park sensors only work above 40deg farenheight. When under they throw off warning codes.
I owned a raptor before it and 2011 xlt with 3.5 before that.
I now have a ruby red, xlt, fx4, sport, 302a, 3.5 eco, 4x4, crew with short bed. Couldn't be happier. The wife laughed when we got in for a test drive, and said how it actually feels like a truck.

I have a very similar ride, ruby red, '15 f-150 eco-beast lariat with the 502a package and the 6.5 bed, max tow package with tow mirrors.
I love this truck. And yes, I treat it like a truck. It already has scratched in the paint. I just got back from a 4000 mile tow and it worked great.

Also ram dealers service sucks. I have 4 within an hour of my house, and all require a week warning for oil changes. All the Ford dealers are same day. Also the ram service manager would always be asking if my engine was throwing codes, and I am lucky because most came back. Once again, does not leave you feeling safe.

A buddy of mine bought an eco-diesel and had it for about 5 months. He's a Dodge loyalist and wouldn't tell me why he traded, but he traded to the super duty 2500. I suspect he felt the same way. He bragged about MPGs but didn't really mention anything else he liked about it.

Enjoying this thread. That seems like an awful lot to go wrong on a truck.
On the plus side it rode nice and got fantastic mileage.
Thank you the report.
