What is the plug at the top left for? After you splice the black/red wires together I would assume it leaves something inoperable? Is this plug not used for anything??

Is there room behind the dash to hide that small clarion amp?

The plug on the top left gets cut off, splice the red to red and black to black and the blue is not used, tape it up.

Better late than never. Can I ask if the colors from the UK harness matched up with the Fords or do I need a multimeter to figure it out?

I haven't installed mine yet, but I just received it. My understanding is that it matches up pretty close. I think there are some post on here with the exact pin out as well. Here is the harness uncut and the setup I am working on installing.

You had said the green wire coming from the radio can be used as remote turn on.

Are there no switched power available on the extra harness?

Nevermind I re-read your post and it is on the extra harness.
