2016 F150 Sirius Satellite Radio - Audio Cuts Out/No Signal ***SSM 46016***
SSM 46016 - Effective Aug 19 2016
2016-2017 Expedition And Navigator Built On Or Before 08/12/2016 And 2016 F150 Built On Or Before 08/09/2016 - Sirius Satellite Radio - Audio Cuts Out/No Signal
Some 2016-2017 Expedition and Navigator vehicles built on or before 08/12/2016 and 2016 F150 vehicles built on or before 08/09/2016 equipped with Sirius satellite radio may exhibit an intermittent concern where the audio cuts out and the radio displays a No Signal message while driving in open sky conditions in certain locations in your area. This may be due to interference with tower signals. If a vehicle displays this condition near cellular phone towers, replace the audio unit antenna with part number GL1Z-10E893-AC on Expedition/Navigator and HL3Z-10E893-AA for F150.

My dealership, has me a new one on order!
#10
I pick up my truck from the dealership service shop tomorrow, I'll be having them order this for mine right away! The spotty reception has been driving me and my wife crazy ever since we got the truck.
***UPDATE***
I got the call from the dealer that my truck was ready to pick up today so I asked the Service Advisor about spotty XM reception and dropped signal and if there was anything that could be done about it. On the phone he was quick to say that they see lots of complaints about it and that through all their research and bug tracking there is nothing that can be done about it as the problem lies with the satellite in orbit, not the Ford antennas. I told him that my wife's Nissan Murano didn't exhibit any of the same symptoms when driving in the same areas and he still dismissed the issue.
When I got to the dealer to pick up the truck I showed the same Service Advisor this specific thread and he read over it, asked me to email him a link and then he went into his internal system (Oasis) to see what he could find. Lo and behold, there is an SSM on file that is word-for-word the same as OP's post. He dialed up his parts warehouse and asked about availability for this replacement part and then told me that he would get it on order, and when my replacement sliding glass panel comes in they're going to replace the XM antenna at that time.
THANK YOU OP for posting this and giving me (us) a leg to stand on when talking to the dealer. Without this post I was being dismissed as "works as intended" but now I have a part on order to fix this issue that's been driving me crazy. I'd highly recommend that anybody experiencing this issue show your service department this post and have them dive into it.
