Edit: cthusker, I stand corrected. I found a 2015 3.5eb window sticker & they had a 1995.00 upcharge, so they were indeed higher
Thanks for the response. I really think that dealer OWES this dude some money back? I sure would be talking with them if it was me.....

My sales guy has been at the same dealership for over 30 years, I trust that he can find me just about anything I would need as far as a vehicle..With that said. I just bought a brand new XLT, I opened the hood and looked under after I test drove that 2.7... I wanted to make sure it wasn’t bigger because of the way it hauled ***...

I am sorry you got had.

My local dealer in town pulled a similar move on me when I scheduled an appointment to purchase a truck. I drove 25 miles back to where I purchased my last car to a huge volume dealer who brings in the vehicle you want, opens it up and lets you see all the parts and then you take the car you are going to purchase for a test drive. I am pretty sure we will be heading over there when my wife is ready to replace her SHO.

When I was buying my last vette the salemen was so freaken stupid about the car I told him GO AWAY and shut up! He knew absolutely nothing about corvettes and I've owned 10 of them over the years. Built them, bought them, raced them... etc. I told him to go get his GM and perhaps we could do a deal. The GM admitted he wasn't a vette expert and didn't attempt to feed me any BS! I wound up buying a new vette from him because the price was excellent and he never once tried to lie to me....

I realize most car salesmen are simply passing through so they seldom take the time to educate themselves about what they are selling.........

Don't kill all the salespersons.

My son was salesperson of the year at a Nissan dealer. He studied and put to memory everything he could about his vehicles.

The other sales crew hated him because customers would ask for him. Sad thing is that "first contact" sales person would get half his commission.

By the way, he moved on to selling web sites. He likes it much better.

I would love the option of not even using a salesman, what's the point they are just the middle man to finance. I would rather just spec my truck out on the ford site, click buy and that's it... No smoke and mirrors. I found on my last truck I was informing my sales guy on all the features and what they did, couldn't believe i was paying for his time..

To me salesman are from days long gone, time to modernize. Elon Musk has it figured out.

Your son is the exception to the rule, not the rule. If they are really good sales people they usually do exactly what your son did and move on to other jobs. Over there years I've found only a hand full of sales people that knew their azz from a touchdown....
