They actually tried to run (even though his front tire was pushed in and stuck sideways)...a bunch of witnesses chased him down and directed the cops to where he dumped the car.

I doubt it....still waiting to get the police report to verify.

Completely agree! Truck is replaceable but the dog is not. Thankfully he is ok; he was really shaken up when it happened but he's ok. Took him to his vet this morning and they checked him out. He's a little sore but all is well. They gave him some pain pills and now he's home sleeping it off

I'm glad you and your dog are OK.

He flew out the window??, he looks like a great dog. Like you anyone who hurts my dog will pay dearly.

Hopefully the POS gets charged with everything.

Make sure you get a little compensation for the second hit you'll receive when it comes time to sell your truck because of the CarFax report. My inlaws bought a a new Buick, two weeks in they were in a similar accident. It was repaired well, and three years later you still couldn't tell it had been hit. When they tried to sell it, every dealer we took it to, pulled a carfax and knocked off 3-4k because of the prior incident. Similar models were selling through dealers for 19k, I was only able to get 14.5k through a private party. No dealer would touch it.

Yikes, I hope your best friend gets a full recovery quickly and as painless as possible.

Some people just are horrible, like that idiot hit-and-try-to-run driver.

Glad you and your dog are ok. Also, when you file, I would make sure to add the vet bill to the claim, that guys insurance should be required to cover that as well. Keep us posted as to how it turns out.
