snow tires
16 platinum with the stock Hankook tires...not too impressed. Poor wet traction so far, with winter coming I am thinking of a set of snow tires. anyone have any recommendations? looking at the blizzak dm v2 right now as an option.
anybody have experience changing out to snow tires?

I got a winter tire package from the dealer with my Lariat 4x4 and they are the Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT. I live in Canada, in one of the worst winter driving areas and they are very good. I don't put weight in the back and I try and use 2WD as much as possible throughout the winter to save gas and the truck still performed really well. In 4A, amazing. In 4H, unstoppable.
I have Blizzak DM-V1s on my wife's AWD Highlander and they are amazing.
I would have gone with the DM-V2s or the Nokians for my truck if I didn't just go with what the dealer was providing simply from experience with the DM-V1s and reviews on Tire Rack.
In all honesty, any winter tire will blow your mind if you went through a winter on all-seasons. Money extremely well spent.

I run General Grabber Arctic (not the Arctic LT) in the winter on a set of 18" XLT Sport wheels. They are cheap from Tire Rack and work very well in the really cold/icy snow. They don't make that much of a difference in really deep snow (like 8"+).
